By The SeaShore

Hey Stampers!
Are you dreaming of being "by the seashore"? I am! Can't wait to go to one of my favorite places ... Port Maitland Beach ... sit in my chair, listen to the rolling waves, (and my soothing music), and spend some time with my best friend - Jesus!  :0

So, while I wait for the temps to allow that to happen I have made a couple cards using a "new to me" stamp set - By The SeaShore. Both cards use Sahara Sand CS ... Hey! How appropriate is that! Sahara Sand = Seashore? Did you get that? I didn't until just now as I typed it! DAH! I really like this neutral CS and the ink is a great neutral as well.

For card #1 I stamped and lightly colored 2 of the images ... stamped some splotches from gorgeous grunge and Voila! There you have a quick "Thinking of you" card.

With Card #2 I stamped 3 images with versamark and then triple embossed them to give some variation in color to the shells. It is difficult to tell they have been heat embossed in the picture. I needed to make a couple Sympathy cards ...

So I guess I am off to the Kraft Korner to create a couple cards for the Secret Sister revealing on Saturday.
The Kraft Klub meets on Saturday so I'm not sure I will get to the reveal but I will make sure my gifts are there!

Have a great day and enjoy this sunshine!

MARCH KLUB

Well here it is - the end of the month and time for Kreations Klub!
Our card therapy session - as the girls call it! Bring it on!

A few prep pics to show you -

Here is the Table - Ready and Waiting... 2 people are away so we have a smaller group - usually I have to add an extra table!

Sheltering Tree card ... I haven't used this set much - I am thinking that I must sit down someday and make a bunch of cards with it. It is a set that could be used for many different occasions!

This card uses the printed vellum SAB (which ends the end of March) I colored the flowers on the back of  vellum and adhered it to a piece of white CS. one could adhere it to DSP or colored CS for a different look. Can`t wait to try some of the other designs -I hope Stampin`Up! continues this vellum in the new Catalogue coming out in June!

Here are all the cards they will be making today ... they will have 2 options with the butterfly card ... as you can see here!

Well... I must go finish prep for this lovely group of ladies!
I may not see you again until April!
Have a great weekend ...
Reflect on the upcoming Palm Sunday. Within less than a week people turned on their Savior and Good Friday became a reality. But - Hallelujah ... Resurrection Sunday followed! How thankful I am!

Butterflies and Flowers

Hey Everyone!
I can't believe it has been over a month since I have posted here! Nor can I believe that it is March 24th! Where has this month gone? The only good thing about time passing so quickly is that Spring is getting closer. I can't wait to hear the peepers!!!

The cards I have for you today have a touch of Spring to them!
The first one is a Birthday card using the Butterfly Basics stamp set and Framelits.

The background on the one is the Hardwood stamp - same set and framelits...

This one is a beautiful Thank You Card ... for a lovely lady!

I stamped these blossoms on black CS and embossed in white - then used my markers to color them .... such a neat technique.

Have a great day, peeps!
Blessings on yah!

Soothing Butterflies

Hey everyone!

And the WINNER is ..... Sheila Robicheau ... for the package of cards!

Is it Spring yet?????
In the midst of all this snow and wind I have tried to stay positive and remain hopeful that SPRING is coming! YEA!!!

To help that along I have made a two Butterfly cards to share with you. SOOOOO easy to achieve this effect. I cute a piece of Whisper White CS a quarter of an inch smaller than the card base - all the way around; chose where I wanted the butterfly to be on the card front and then cute it out with the thinlits . Then I took a piece of DSP and adhered it to the back of the white CS. I used my bone folder to curl the wings a bit and then using glue dots I adhered the butterfly to the opening I had just cut - looks like she is flying off the card! Added some bling and a sentiment and there you have it!

I used Calypso Coral for this card:

I used Coastal Cabana for this card...and colored the pearls with Coastal Blendibilities.
I must say that these cards are much prettier in real life ... !!!

I hope you enjoyed your peek here today! Today looks like the calm after the storm! It is nice to see some sunshine!
Blessings and hugs...

Springy Cards

Hi all .. just a quick post - I have supper on the stove and am getting ready to go out to our Small Group meeting - we have missed the past two weeks b/c of the stormy weather. Today has been a beautiful day - with lots of sunshine! :)

The first one is mad using the buttery dies from Butterfly basics .... they are gorgeous! I double mounted this one and the background is DSP.

and here is another card using the Irresistibly Yours DSP ... in "orange tones"

Wow it's a wonder this post even made it this far - the ole computer is acting up!

Irresistibly From the Herd

Hey!
It's still snowing!!!!!

What do you think of this title? Does it spark some curiosity? I hope so! This what I have been doing - as well as getting ready for a Workshop for Monday night..... ummmm - wonder if the weather will make it possible for that to happen?

Here are two cards I made with the Irresistibly Yours DSP from SAB - it is so fun to color and adapt to whatever I want. The first card has been done in shades of purples.... Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant ... The "thank" die actually says "thanks" but I cut off the 's' so I could pair it with "you" for "thank you"! [much prettier IRL - in real life]

This next one is in shades of blue ... Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Soft Sky and the butterfly is inked in Island Indigo.

Wouldn't Yellows or Pinks be pretty? Even Greens? Maybe I will have to make someone a gift set.
Better yet -  How about a  GIVEAWAY!  YES!
Leave me a comment and I will put your names in a hat and will do a draw for a set of 4 cards - on Friday the 13th of February! :0

One last card to show you ... this one is a secret until the 14th ... hubby never looks at my blog - he doesn't need to cuz I pretty much show him all the cards I make. This one is for him - using the "From the Herd" stamp set..... totally cased from Pinterest with my own spin on it! Don't you love Pinterest?

Don't forget - leave me a comment to enable yourself to participate in the draw on the 13th!

Have a great weekend ...

The Bee-Catcher Bird Returns

Hi everyone!
Are you tired of this snow we have accumulated over the past few days! I know I am! I am thankful for our home and the heat ... for hubby who keeps the home fires burning and for power!!!

Today I have 2 more cards using A Happy Thing stamp set... gotta love this little bird!
Both cards were made with stuff that was sitting on my work space - one way to clean up is to use it! :)

I colored this one with Night of Navy and Skin Tone Blendies ... the lace washi tape is long retired and I have been hesitating to use it - it is so pretty. The hello was cut with some new dies and just sitting there waiting for me to apply it somewhere!

I colored the second one with Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral blendies - also colored the pearls. And used the new bow builder punch for the cute little bow!

The sentiment inside comes from a sale-a-bration set...
As 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says ...
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."    One of my fave verses!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs ... see you soon...

HAPPY DAY!

I have made a card using A Happy Thing sale-a-bration stamp set ... love this little bird. I have discovered he is an Australian Bee Catcher Bird and he comes in the most beautiful colors.... many different combos! For this card I have chosen just one combo but will do some of the others over the next few days.

I "goggled" this little fellow .... found some incredible pics - here are 2 .... I based my card on the first pic.

Here is one with a bee -

Now for my card!
Here he is in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral ... two of my fave colors together.

Inside of the card ............pretty simple with lots of room to write a note -

The card - with sentiment from this set and sequins and pearls and twine. Actually this picture does not do these colors justice!

Thanks for peeking in today!
Have a great weekend!

Moon Lake

Hi Peeps!
I made a couple cards in the midst of the cold and snow we've been having. They reminded me that spring and summer will come, I must be patient.

I took the idea for these cards from one of my fave stampers - LeAnne at weeinklings blog... you can check her out here www.weeinklings.blogspot.ca

First - I stamped the boat image on white card stock.- cut it out with the circle framelites - colored it with blendabilities.
I cut a piece of the SAB Irresistibly Yours DSP for the inside and used 3 shades of blue to color it ... sort of an ombre effect. I also stamped the boat image and some grunge on the Smokey Slate CS after I had cut and embossed it. Once I finished coloring the image I thought this scene needed some birds in the air so I drew them in. Can you see how the colored image is layered over the SS image? Called Spotlighting technique.

Here is the inside with a big white moon to write the note on! :)

I used the same set, image, CS, DSP for this second card but I cut the image smaller, angled the curvature on the front, colored the DSP in greens, and did the boat a different color. Because the colored image is smaller more of the underlying image on the SS is showing

Here is the inside - I didn't want the white piece that I will write on to show when the card is closed so I had to angle it as well.

Thank you so much for taking time to stop in here today!
I hope you enjoyed your visit!
Hugs!

January Klub Kreations!

Hi Everyone ...
Well! I have been very neglectful this month at posting here! I hope you will forgive me for that!  :0

We held Kreations Klub this past Saturday and I wanted to share the cards we made... such fun. I sometimes wish I had the energy to do this twice a month with 2 groups of ladies ... (and men too if they wanted! - wouldn't that be fun!?) I'll have to think on that for spring ----- ummmmmmm

Here we go!
This first card is made with a free Sale-A-Bration set called A Happy Thing ... I have discovered that this little bird is a Rainbow Bee Eater .. found in Australia and some other places as well - but not one we would see. He/she comes in different colors - we used blendies to make him blue! I totally copied this card from one I saw online - really like the "window" effect.

This is a pic of the inside:

Card #2 was made using the emboss resist technique and the stamp set Butterfly Basics - lots of stamping and sponging; the butterfly is popped on the card - but I don't think you see that very well in this pic.

The 3rd card was made using the stamp set "Kindness is Love" ... and a piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP from Sale-A-Bration which we colored by sponging with Rose Red ink. This could become a Valentines card or a great thinking of you card.

And finally card #4 - sooo pretty in real life! We used the Something Lacy background stamp and Crumb Cake ink, some lace and sequins, and the HELLO from the Hello You Thinlits die set. On the inside we stamped a sentiment from another set that says ... "looking in on you".

Of course, a good time was had by all, with everyone being totally impressed with the new Occasions catalogue!

Well ... Like Bugs Bunny used to say -"tha- tha- that's all folks!" I will see you sooner than later the next time! :)
Blessings and HUGS!

Indescribable Gift

Hi Peeps!
This is my first post for the year 2015! It is a Sneak Peek at a set that will be found in the Occasions Catalogue - which goes live tomorrow! I was going to go play in my Kraft Korner ... but I have had a change of plans.
A while ago I purchased the paint for the kitchen and the porch. Well - Christmas and New Years came upon us and there was not time for painting. BUT - today I have some time, so I will begin the "cutting in" in the kitchen. My original plan was to do the porch first but I so want the kitchen done that I have decided to start there. I am not sure how I will make out cuz I have been experiencing fibro pain for days! But you know what? I will do it as I can - and it will be done when it is done! Hallelujah! That is how I live my life now! And I am thankful that I can still do, and that I know when to stop!

So - Here is the final Sneak Peek --- this is a beautiful set with Easter sentiments. This flower, however, can be used for any type of card! Enjoy!

Such fun to color! This is my take on a card I saw on Sandi MacIver's blog. I followed her lead in stamping the image a second time, coloring and "fussy cutting" a couple of flowers, and popping them outside the frame. I also used a piece of the new SAB designer paper and colored it with Pink Pirouette Blendie.

Stay tuned the rest of the week as there will be more things to share... maybe even a pic of the kitchen!

I trust you are staying warm today! The wind is howling around here and it "sounds" cold! Now - think on that one for a bit! Can you relate to the wind "sounding cold"?

Blessings and Hugs...
